It was surveyed in 2015 prior to an intense fire and was revisited briefly during the 2016 BioBlitz (after the fire). ii) Dartys Corner (on the coast) has sandy beach, dune, rocky shelf, coastal dune and creek habitats. This area has been surveyed in 2015 and 2016. iii) Sundown Point is a new site on the coast, a few kilometres north of Dartys Corner, and has similar habitats. iv) Keppel Creek forest (Sumac coupe) is a stand of tall wet eucalypt forest surrounded by rainforest, near the Arthur River.
